ABOUT THE ARTIST

Carole Elliott Artist

I began painting at the age of 34 after completing an art course at Dobell House when my children were very young. Initially I didn’t get along with a paintbrush and my brother, also an Artist, suggested trying soft pastels and I haven't looked back.

I was convinced to try acrylics about 10 years ago but found I couldn’t achieve the same results and decided to stick with pastels. In 2014 I heard about interactive acrylics, gave them a try and loved them. I am now an accomplished Artist in the mediums of acrylics and soft pastels.

Specialising in seascapes and ocean life, I try to share the atmosphere of the ocean with viewers of my paintings. I am a member of the exclusive Ocean Artists Society based in California and support Turtle rescue organisations.

My work is represented in corporate and private collections throughout Australia, England, Scotland, America, Canada and Israel. A number of local collectors each own more than five of my paintings and I have completed numerous commissions.
