'Golden Sunrise' - The gorgeous colours of sunrise over the ocean. It’s a challenge getting all the detail into a small painting but I think they’re just as beautiful.

‘Shimmering Magic’ – Looking closer at the shells under the water in one of the streams running down to the ocean. I’ve tried to replicate the fluidity of the water. ‘Harbour Fleet’ – I love visiting the Harbour and have often painted the old ropes. This time I included some of the moored boats to go with them. I love the perspective of this piece. It was juried into the Pastel Guild of Europe international exhibition in 2024.

‘In the Shallows’ – On a walk along the beach I came across some of the little Red-capped Plovers. I loved watching them paddling in the shallows and couldn’t wait to paint them.

‘Into the Blue’ – A gorgeous green sea turtle swimming along in the blue waters of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. I was so lucky to be able to get this close. This was on the Meritorious List of the Richeson International Wildlife exhibition in 2024.

'A Wisp of Wind' - I absolutely love painting bubbles and pebbles so this scene really captured my attention, with the addition of the feather and light refraction caused by the breeze. Juried into the Pastel Society of Colorado, Pastel Guild of Europe and Pastel Society of Southeast Texas international exhibitions.

‘Reef Rendezvous’ – This beautiful turtle was sharing lunch with his fish friends in the lagoon of Lady Elliot Island. He waited until they’d finished before he continued eating. This was juried into the Pastel Guild of Europe international exhibition in 2024.

‘Ocean Sunrise’ – I loved the way the golden light shone down along the water to the the bubbles in the foam and all the little shells on the sand. This piece was accepted into the International Assoc of Pastel Societies’ exhibition giving me a point towards my Masters. It was also a Finalist in the Richeson International seascape competition in 2023.

'The Sunbird Family' - A beautiful family of sunbirds resided in the shell hanger just outside my studio door. I couldn't resist painting them numerous times. Juried into the Pastel Society of the West Coast international competition and received 1st prize in the Pastel Society of Australia's set subject competion in 2024 in the AP/MP Section.

‘The Patient Pelican’ – Every now and then I enjoy experimenting and this is the result. I love how this beautiful pelican turned out. I enjoyed seeing them on Lake Macquarie where we used to live and have painted them often. This was a Finalist in the international Central Mass Pastel Society Exhibition - Pastels+ in 2023.

‘All That Glitters is not Gold’ – The bubbles and gorgeous light refractions across the pebbles were my inspiration for this piece. The added element of a golden heart adds a little bit of mystery! It was a Finalist in the Pastel Society of Nth Carolina - Pure Colour in 2020.
